Small Business Saturday 11/24/12

Small Business Saturday is a great time to support local businesses. Some small businesses are brick and mortar companies, while others are online companies. If you are an American Express card holder, you can earn a $25 statement credit HERE if you make a purchase at a small business on Saturday 11/24. Since I think it is important to support small businesses year round, this is a list of my favorite family owned and operated businesses and their current deals and promotions.

KidzPad Furniture:

-FREE iPad Mini with Modular Storage purchase

-FREE Melissa & Doug Swivel Bridge Train Set with Play Table purchase

-FREE Melissa & Doug Magic Mine Wooden Tunnel Train Set with Activity Table purchase

  1. I love the concept of Small Business Saturday! The past few years my mom has said she wants stuff from local businesses for Christmas--no specifics, though, so it's still pretty open and can be kinda hard to shop for her! But it's a great concept.

Yeah, I agree. It can be hard to know what to get. I have seen a lot of coupons lately in local papers for different small businesses, and I love the Chinook Book and think its a great way to branch out and try new businesses because they offer great coupon incentives. You can get it at New Seasons, or on your mobile phone. I got mine and it has already paid for itself multiple times in savings :) .

I am a clearance sale fanatic too! My family and I took a trip down to Hood River and shopped the clearance racks this summer and found some amazing buys! I consider small towns "local" too since I grew up in one and know how much the towns rely on businesses for their lively hood. Thanks for checking out my blog :)

My sister-in-law works for the Goodnight Room in Bridgeport which is a home owned children's store so we always try to support them!
